    Recommended books,tutorials for learning to create a FIrst Person Shooter game

    HI.

     

    My Goal for the next years, is to learn to create FPS games, Please tell me how can I start, what books should I buy?

     

    I want to buy this book because it has a chapter named "Create a third–person shooter game."

    This book isn't too bad. Though it is in C++/DirectX, so if you're only looking for XNA based books it might not be of help.

    It covers a lot of areas:

    • Collision detection
    • Culling using octrees and occluders
    • Animation
    • networking
    • other FPS attributes...
