  • How to animate a 2D sprite?

    Im still learning to use XNA but i can't understand how to animate a 2D sprite other than to rotate/scale it. How will I animate it? For now I am using Paint and Inkscape, but will I need to draw a new image for each frame? i.e. 1 image for a left step, 1 for right step, etc.. ? will i need a sprite sheet (no idea how to make it)?     I just download inkscape because it seems like an easy program to use. I was wondering if anyone knew of any tutorials to make sprites with it? i saw the tutorials on just painting an image, but is it the same thing? Sorry, I am just a beginner and trying really hard to learn
