1) After i installed Vista i ran all the updates available before installing XNA and VS.2) I had UAC off (which i still do)3) I haven't installed Office yet, but i plan to soon.

Today i did a complete reinstall of Vista and i reformatted my hard drive (it need doing) . I reinstalled everything for XNA, and no problems what so ever, i can open all the different types of projects from both XNA 1.0 and 2.0 without and registry key issues. I don't know why this is, i can only assume that a different factor caused the issues ...

Thanks Brian for added a bug on connect, i would have done it myself but it kept on asking me to register even though i had already registered and activated my account. Let's hope someone can fix this.

The only log file i could find was the one i posted above so there's no point in posting on Connect (also you have to be 18 to register).
