• Re: Greatest game quotes
"WHAT IS A MAN?" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMTizJemHO8
Could that be anything BUT Castlevania: SOTN? I've played that game to death, and it has some of the cheesiest dialog I've ever heard >_> *throws wine glass*

  • Re: How old are you, and when did you begin programming?
I'm 17 now and I was only 15 when I started programming, so I really haven't been at it too long. I started off with "Game Maker" and the only language I could use was the GML (Game Maker Language) so I don't really know if it counts. I'm learning C# now out of book and from a few of my ...

  • Re: CC memberships

Your premium membership expires, when it expires. Simple as that. Nothing to worry about. I've pretty much had an XNA Creators' Club subscription ever since day 1 (I tried it out 4 for months, I got another 4 months for free, and my friend gave me his one-year card), but as soon soon as I canceled it, all the cool stuff started pouring ...

  • Re: What websites/books should a beginner start with?

One site I can, without a doubt, recommend would be GameDev.net - it's helped a lot of my friends who want to begin game programming. I use that site as a resource all the time, too. You should check out the beginners' sections, and start from there.

  • Re: Swinging Rope Physics

Damn. I used to have some rope-physics code that was implemented in C++, and then ported over to C#. I did some interesting stuff with it... but I have no idea where that old code is =[ Anyway, that was a long time ago. I guess I'm on the same page as the OP. I see some purdy damn interesting articles upstairs, so I'm going to check ...

  • Re: Where do you study?

Still study in my room, on this same desk cluttered desk (it's the only functional piece of furniture I have in my room. Either everything goes on my desk, or it goes on the floor), in this same incredibly uncomfortable, back-breaking chair =[ There's no other suitable place to read in this house (we have 5 people living here, with ...

  • Re: How old are you, and when did you begin programming?

Craig Martin: I know this is a little bit off-topic here (and I'm the thread creator as well >:3), but I notice you have some experience in Assembly. Would this kitten be allowed to ask if you know of any good resources to learn Assembly? I've scoured the Internet, and found many guides/tutorials, and I'm slowly piecing it all ...

  • Re: Yikes! Everyone else's games are only 200 points!

I originally wrote a few long-winded paragraphs about my thoughts, but they were muddled. So I'll just quickly summarize my thoughts: Based on time/resources needed to create most XNA community games, and their quality, I think the lower MS-point pricing is fair, and should be even cheaper. And as a developer, and a consumer, I would not ...

  • Re: How do i learn all of the namespaces and classes associated with the xna framework?

As said, when you install the XNA framework, help documentation comes along with it. To access it, just open-up MSVS, and go to Help > Contents. If you've also installed the MSDN documentation, you can also find documentation for a lot of other things, too. You may also want to consider checking out the MSDN website, where they have ...
