  • Game Updates?

I re-submitted Beat IT! with new box art and price. It passed review again and is shown on this site in the Game Catalog with the new box art, but I didn't get an email saying it had passed, and the box art hasn't changed on the Xbox Live Marketplace. Does anyone know why?

  • Re: Let the era of the $1 game begin!

Beat IT! is now 80 points because it was a launch title and has recently only been selling about 15 a month. If you had a product in a shop like that, you would drop the price too. Supply and Demand. It used to be 200 points because that was the minimum, but now that there's 80 points, it only makes sense to drop the price.

  • Re: New Site Released to Organize and Review Indie Games

[quote user="Nick Gravelyn"]For what it's worth, XboxIndies.com is not, nor do I intend for it to become, a review website. I dropped the price of Beat IT! to 80 points, to revive the sales and try it out (at 200 points I'm on about 15 sales per month). Lets see what happens...

They did this in the conkers bad fur day remake. I think they just used a screen aligned 2d sprite.

  • Re: Help with background

Your problem is that the picture is too big. 5000x4800 is huge. Try splitting the image into tiles. then you need to check which tiles are on the screen and only render them.

  • Re: Where did you get your company name and what does it mean?

MonsuneMoon means "Monsoon Moon" from the Mighty Boosh. I had to spell it like that because the real spelling was taken. "I rain down the pain, Im Monsoon Moon, Im coming atcha like a beam, like a ray, like a laser, dont try and stop me Im quick. Like lightning. Im frightening. Oowww! Chika-chika!Yeah? Look up A* (or A Star) pathfinding. Its the simplest most effective method in my opinion.
