You may want to try a script I made, available at this adress : http://www.gulix.fr/blog/spip.php?article139 (french blog, but the script can be downloaded at the end of the page). It's a vbs script that check the frameworks installed, and can open the web browser to the download page .

I made an XNA game called Blind Shark (at http://www.gulix.fr/blindshark ). The game is in french for now, but the future versions will be multilanguage. It's an audio quizz, with a Winforms Question Editor. It's very basic (2D Sprite), but it has multiple type of controllers (Buzz !, XBox 360 Gamepad, Standard Gamepad, Keyboard, ...)

Maybe by taking a middle-step, you could do something nice. The first time a Property is called, calculate it, and store it in a variable. Then, for the next calls, instead of recalculating the Property, return the value. But, as said by Craig, maybe this optimization is not needed.

In your directory MySourceProject/Content, there is an xml file called Content.contentproj. You can edit it with your LevelEditor, to add a reference to your level file (that you jsut add to the Content Directory).

Following some tutorials (this and this), I manage to get a nice component with transparency. On a PC at my firm. When I try it at home, the texture on top (which must follow the mask) appears complete, the mask is not applied. I first thought my code was broken, but when I try the code of the second tutorial, the transparency did not work ...
