• Re: FEEDBACK WANTED: Premise/General Concepts Stage(ORP)

TO: MrLeebo I know. I AM thinking of an actual XBOX release, after all. Competing on the market at that level is intense and you can't do anything half-assed. After checking out the Fatal Inertia demo, I'm thinking the Unreal engine may be the thing. As to the Programmers, all I need are serious hobbyists or a semi-professional with ...

  • Re: FEEDBACK WANTED: Premise/General Concepts Stage(ORP)

TO: UberGeekGames    Without having consulted any Programmer on the matter, I plan on a decent proof-of-concepts release Indie, then on to Arcade or Console, or perhaps MMO if I can get a nibble that will satisfy all the work the involved Programmers will have put in up to any point. I expect to only do what we can for Indie, which I am aware ...

  • Re: An XBOX/Racing Genre Analysis

    1) In regards to your first question, I certainly do. My own private IP has been based off of my conclusions for about a year. And I just whipped up this casual analysis in the last two days. I am getting ready to go fully public with my "ORP" IP in the next few weeks, and stepping through XBLIG on the way to XBLA or the actual console, ...

  • Re: Online Racing Game? Online Third-Person Shooter?
Pretty much, the main difference is that in a First person game the game is viewed from the avatar's viewpoint. Wheras in a third person shooter the camera is external, and focused on the player. Fans of either will argue at great length about the gameplay merits of each though as it's a fairly ...

  • Re: Online Racing Game? Online Third-Person Shooter?

Dumb question alert... What is the difference between a FPS and a TPS? I assume it is camera/player view? Are there 2ndPSs? I agree that a TPS would probably do better, but I personally am aiming for an ORG... I think there is more room to be innovative therein.

  • Re: XNA or Lawmaker Game Engine?

My question is, Whether or not there are enough persons in this community who could contribute to an experimental development project of this sort?
If you are just the "idea guy" it's highly unlikely. Almost everyone has ideas. Tons of them. I have so ...

  • XNA or Lawmaker Game Engine?

I'm a total noob and not really into gaming. And not really interested in making a game. A paradox? I'm just afraid to pick up the skills - assuming I can - and then find myself hooked forever. I have a full Universe in mind, which could well play host to dozens of titles in most if not all genres. I am a writer, interested mainly in ...
