    I don't think you're being unfair either. I downloaded Kodu and told my nieces "you know how I told you that you're too young for making Xbox games (with XNA)... Well now, you can make your own game with Kodu...!" After a few minutes with it, I realized how I didn't like the interface at all... and my nieces ...
