  • Re: Use of Microsoft Game content

Just thought I'd further this discussion, but Microsoft did give the OK to allowing Master Chief to be modded into Unreal Tournament 3. http://www.xbox360fanboy.com/2008/03/27/ms-legal-is-okay-with-ut3-master-chief-mod/ I'm not planning on going this route, but I was just curious. :-)

  • Use of Microsoft Game content

From the site's FAQ: [quote] So I can make clones of games already on Xbox LIVE Arcade or somewhere else? Not any more than you can make copies of Halo 3. When you submit a game, you stipulate that you own all the rights to the materials in ...

  • Re: Creator Name

Hm, I don't remember that field being pre-filled when I just registered.  I'm boring though and just entered my real name. :)

  • Re: Will the tutorials return

[quote user="Charles Cox"] The Tutorials will return! We're updating them to be XNA Game Studio 2.0 compliant. For now, check out the tutorials from the XNA Game Studio docs on MSDN: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb203897.aspx These tutorials go all the way from starting out, through making a simple 3D ...

  • Re: Trial Subscription?

I also would like to know this.   I was just about to register myself for the Dreamspark program for XNA, but if I'm not allowed onto the service, then I will wait until this is resolved. I need to get the most out of those free 12 months. :-)

  • Re: Alien Aggressors: Zune Edition

L0STlogic:Hmm, I may have to get a Zune now just to develop for it....maybe that's Microsofts nefarious plan!  :)It's quite fun actually. I would suggest it, but only if you are going to use it for media playing also.If you do, get the Zune80. It's the best MP3 player I've ever owned (and yes, I've owned two iPod's).

  • Re: 2D Worms Terrain using high resolutions (1920x1200) - Am I approaching this wrong?

Hello,Me and a group of 3 others are creating a student game using this concept for this year in school. We've had basic talks on how we are going to approach and it might help you. However, be warned that we haven't coded so there may be issues with this process!!! It's pure hypothetical theory until we start coding it at the end of the summer :) ...

  • Letting user choose music

Hey everyone, I was curious what everyone's thoughts were on the best ways for letting the user select the music to play in the background? Right now, I have a few solutions in mind that I haven't yet tried out (I first hardcoded my program to search for a particular artist, then a particular song within that artist and play it).   1) ...
