    Thanks Dave!

I guess I won't wait up for it then. :-p

Now the only question is to study right after breakfast or try to build a game right after breakfast? :-p

    Or skip breakfast...

For those who missed it official release here http://www.xbox.com/en-US/community/news/2007/1212-xnasupportslive.htm and repeated MANY times on all the other sites so please no links to all of those.

But there is some unique content:

From the press release (text highlight by myself):

Additionally, XNA Game Studio 2.0 fully supports game development with all versions of the Microsoft Visual Studio product line.

Is the press release not quite correct or has VS 2008 been suddenly allowed for GSE 2.0?

1 Up announcement including a hint about making game available on live??? I guess we will see tomorrow what that actually means....

"1UP spoke with Satchell this morning, where he discussed what we've all been asking about since XNA Game Studio kicked off: when can we download them freely off Xbox Live? Check back tomorrow for the scoop, but here's a hint: we'll be hearing about it sooner, rather than later. "

I wonder if we might end up with a user created marketplace for a small user-controlled MS points system?  Kinda like the Windows Live Gallery.

Of course, "sooner rather than later" could mean "with 3.0 next December instead of 4.0." :)

    Scepticism aside, that's _very_ interesting.

Two underscores? You've been using codeplex too much Shaw.

    I know!  Then again, I'm more used to Latex-style text mark-up than Word-style Ctrl+I/Ctrl+B.

Nice.  I can't tell if they really mean 2.0, or if they're making a prediction that 3.0 will allow commercial distribution of Live-enabled XNA games.
