    Dream-Build-Play Warmup Entries

So yeah, just taking a break from my warm-up entry to stir up some discussion, because we all like speculation about winning don't we?

It'd be cool to get a feel of the field for this year's warm-up competition, so if you have a project (that you're not too secretive about), just post its name and a little description so us little guys can see what we're up against :D.

    So here's mine:

"Unnamed Tank Game" - A little real time strategy mixed in with a 1st person (tank?) shooter.  It's got pretty exciting fast paced gameplay, along with cool features such as cartoon rendering, and some interesting AI controllability.  The AI consists of the individual AI's for both friendly and enemy tanks, and the overall AI for the enemy.  You ARE the friendly AI (as the player), and you get to control some AI aspects of your friendly tanks, even though they are fairly autonomous.

    Good luck!

    Re: Dream-Build-Play Warmup Entries

I am using my entry to try to get a framework ready for a full game I would like to write, which I hope to be a kind of action-strategy game focusing on small formations fighting.

I have been focusing on route finding for formations, and it is going okish (at best).

I think I may have left myself too much to do in the final week, but even if I don't get the entry in, it has been useful to have something to aim for.

Look forward to seeing what other people have come up with after the deadline passes.

    Good luck all.
