Contract Work: Programmer (or two) to help with in-house visualization products.

    Company name: Visi3D

    Project name: Various

Brief description: Visi3D is looking for a couple of developers to help with producing a variety of in-house projects. Our products provide 3D visualization of 2D real-space drawings for users of Microsoft Visio 2007 Professional. We have frequent need for help with short-term (2 to 6 months) projects. Work varies - tools for our artists, work on the 3d engine, development of plugins for our VSTO addin, installation/update software, and webservices. We are a MCGP and have been a Visio solution provider for more than 14 years.

    Target aim: Mostly Retail

    Compensation: Please provide requirements.

    Technology: .NET 2.0, Visio 2007 Pro, XNAGS2

Talent needed: We are pretty open minded. Our only absolute requirements are that you have professional experience as a programmer and that you are solid with C#. Experience with VSTO, XNAGS2, SQL, ASP.NET, Windows applications are all appreciated.

Team structure: You will be working with 2 developers, 2 artists, and occassionally another sub-contractor or two. My name is Gary and I am one of the developers and team lead. We are a small company of 8.

Previous Work by Team: PoolDraw 3D (pool, spa, landscape design and management software), FaciPlan 3D (facilities management and visualization) and a slew of other products that with which you are not likely familiar.

Additional Info: The vast majority of our products (and the projects you would be working on) are not retail games. Our products are centered on our 3D viewer which is built on XNA, and while there is work that needs to be done on it, we also need help with the other types of work listed above. Flexibility is vital for us.
