If you want to learn how to program, then I suggest you take a step back and first learn C# and just forget about XNA GS for now. Get a couple of introductory C# books from a local book store or library; read them and go through their samples/exercises. You'll spend a lot of time learning the basics with simple text-based applications, but you'll learn a lot. Once you are comfortable writing basic programs in C#, then you can attempt to use XNA GS to write very simple games by following the tutorials in the documentation.
